Yet another edition of Skogshyddan's Winter Trophy is over. We would like to thank all teams for coming and for making this one of the largest and most competetive indoor tournaments in Europe.
After two days of hard fought games DNT from Germany came out as winners in the Women's division. The final score was 15-8 over Flying Circus of Denmark.
The open final between Viksjöfors and Skogshyddan was an open game all the way to the end. Viksjöfors started the final strong and soon had a 2-0 lead. Skogshyddan quickly came back and tied the game at 2-2. After that Viksjöfors stayed on top and took half at 8-7. Viksjöfors then starting on offense for the second half scored the opening point and had a lead by two.
Skogshyddan then made a huge effort and tied the game at 9-9 and then got another turn and converted to have their first lead of the game. The teams then traded points until time ran out with Skogshyddan in the lead with 12-11. Viksjöfors now needed to score the next point to stay in the game. That however did not happen, Skogshyddan got another turn and again converted the score to win the game at 13-11.
